@JulianH38269819@NotGlidus The connection to the Season 3 scene between Mel and Arya was pulled straight out of nowhere!
The line was altered to fit the scene, they have even said they didn't plan Arya to kill NK till later on. It's a rookie writing move to dupe the audience into thinking it's profound.
@adrielmendez876@ranchpizzzas@HOTDsource and he rejected it because it was not IDEAL! Massive age gaps are accepted, but it's made pretty clear it's not PREFERABLE.
i don't get the judgement of Luke not proposing a deal here, the game was already up, Aemond had provided the best political match.
@Its_Leakiru @ranchpizzzas@HOTDsource 1. They expected the Baratheons to be a safe bet cos family ties
2. Luke is young, has very little political experience, and the task he was assigned has suddenly changed.
3. AEMOND is there, the guy he took an eye from who has the largest dragon, ofc he's going to be rattled
@ranchpizzzas@HOTDsource It's not grossness I'm correcting you on it's more that Aemond is simply a better match, Luke would have been good but he's betrothed.
Joffrey's age wouldn't be an issue if there wasn't the presence of a great betrothal offer by Aemond. So the scene makes perfect sense
@betoneiro400l@ranchpizzzas@HOTDsource not entirely! Aemond by his age is a FAR better match, like it's way more preferable for partners to be similar ages even in ASOIAF, if the political ramifications are the same.
The Blacks did not have as good a match with Luke being already betrothed so the scene makes sense
@iLikeCurlsDaily@eternalren_@HOTDsource Sometimes omissions are made in certain scenes so that a casual audience understands the characters NECESSARY to that particular scene.
Having Daeron there for no purpose other than to simply exist is not necessary. It's not lazy writing, it's efficient storytelling.
@katmac95@bigdogXVI@HOTDsource It wasn't publicly KNOWN that is was not consummated. Daemon didn't got around bragging about his sexual impotence.
So it wasn't so simple as you make it seem for Viserys.
@myspideyj @musikafc @houseofdragontv still murdering a servant whose done nothing wrong, shows how little regard the nobles have for those beneath them.
maybe don't look down on the powerless in this story, they're the one's paying for the lords and their game of thrones.
@HOTDsource A friendly reminder that is sad to see is needed!
Like (or like to dislike) all the wonderful characters, it makes the show all the more enjoyable.
