मुजफ्फरपुर: शहर के खबड़ा निवासी 25 वर्षीय यश राज पिछले लगभग पाँच महीनों से चीन के शंघाई डिटेंशन सेंटर में बंद हैं। परिजनों के अनुसार, यश मर्चेंट नेवी की MSC कंपनी में कार्यरत हैं। उनका जहाज तकनीकी खराबी के कारण चीन के एक बंदरगाह पर रुका था, जहाँ एक स्थानीय विवाद के बाद चीनी पुलिस ने उन्हें हिरासत में ले लिया।

यश की माँ सीमा सिंह का कहना है कि 28 फरवरी 2026 से उन्होंने अपने बेटे की आवाज़ तक नहीं सुनी है। परिवार के अनुसार, बेटे की चिंता में उनकी तबीयत लगातार बिगड़ रही है और डॉक्टरों ने ऑपरेशन की सलाह भी दी है। उनकी सबसे बड़ी इच्छा है कि एक बार बेटे से वीडियो कॉल पर बात हो सके।

पीड़ित परिवार ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, विदेश मंत्रालय (MEA), विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस. जयशंकर और मुजफ्फरपुर जिला प्रशासन से हस्तक्षेप की अपील की है। परिवार का कहना है कि भारतीय दूतावास और संबंधित अधिकारियों के माध्यम से कानूनी सहायता उपलब्ध कराकर यश राज की सुरक्षित भारत वापसी सुनिश्चित की जाए।

वहीं, स्थानीय लोगों ने भी इस मामले को गंभीरता से उठाते हुए अधिक से अधिक लोगों से इसे साझा करने की अपील की है, ताकि मामला केंद्र सरकार और संबंधित अधिकारियों तक पहुँचे और यश राज की जल्द रिहाई का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो सके.

I CAN'T DEFEND/SUPPORT ANYTHING ON ETHANOL ABOVE E-20.

Anything above E20 is beneficial only if you own a certified flex-fuel vehicle which are presently on available in Bharat.

From what I understand: Higher ethanol blends can lead to:
-Lower mileage (ethanol contains less energy than petrol)
-Corrosion of fuel system components
-Compatibility and warranty issues in non-flex-fuel vehicles

Max permissible is E20 in present condition as cars manufactured since 2023 are designed to absorb this blend to max level. Not beyond that.

I'm definitely not in support of paying full amount for car to have it's life reduced later.

That’s already ₹267 extra.

But the real damage is mileage.

Earlier:
16.5 kmpl average

Now:
11.5 kmpl average

If I drive 1,650 km a month:

Earlier fuel needed:
1,650 ÷ 16.5 = 100 litres

Now fuel needed:
1,650 ÷ 11.5 = 143 litres

Extra fuel consumption:
43 litres more every month.

At around ₹101.90/litre,
monthly extra expense = ₹4,382 more.

So effectively:

₹3300 tank became ₹3567
+
₹4382 extra monthly fuel burn because mileage crashed.

Middle class is paying more money to travel the same distance.
