Sports aren’t for everyone but they are enjoyable for some. It wasn’t for resume building or college scholarships. It was for fun. Doesn’t sound the same for you. Sorry.

I don’t think they need to start at 3 or anything but I think organized sports while in school even if it is just in the summer is beneficial. If your kid isn’t a sports kid I think theater is great too. Working as part of a group toward a common goal is good.

When they are in power they run up the national debt by giving tax breaks to the wealthy. The budget has only been balanced under a Democratic administration in my lifetime. The Republicans spend their asses off.
