Today we stand ready to protect our right to strike. Every working person is under attack from these new laws. RT if you reject @RishiSunak's anti-strike bill @MegaphoneUK https://t.co/dzfOGGrsBp
@FunkyPedagogy Totally! Added a ground floor en-suite master suite and downstairs loo. New kitchen diner with beautiful lantern window and the lounge is a snug w/ new fake fire place plus extended the entrance hall.Rejigged the kids bedrooms and turned the box bedroom into an office. Win win.
@suzygreene1234 @MrsSmanwar You aren’t expected to! Check your union guidance. We’re made to feel like we must provide cover but ‘if you’re ill, you’re ill’ how can you provide work if that’s so. I know it creates work for someone else but that’s why there should be cover boxes/folders/one offs. You first😊
@mrsinch20@Axford @carleen_masson @RaufMiss I can’t believe you only found out yesterday. This must have been hugely stressful for you. At least you can relax a little now. Weight lifted! New plans on the horizon. Perhaps visit a few schools as a last ditch attempt? 🤞🏻
@Axford @carleen_masson @RaufMiss@mrsinch20 You can be in breach of your contract if you don’t give half a term and resign by the end of Feb/May/Oct- but some heads will allow you to leave early- you need to check this before assuming you can give a months notice. 😊
@MrsSmanwar I dislike that some schools force children to turn on cameras although I understand the checks for safeguarding. We were having some work done last week so were all downstairs working together. My son was uncomfortable sharing us, and our lounge with his class and I get that.
@SaysMiss Is attending a lesson virtually and not contributing any different to sitting in the classroom IRL and being passive? ie not joining S&L, questioning, group work. We don’t always penalise for this if they are ‘well behaved’ and ‘engaged;’ we encourage more participation at PEVE
