haha may nabasa akong comment na ang shallow daw ng identity ni sayuri, na wala man lang something about her.

napatigil ako because… that’s the whole point? it’s not a flaw in the writing, it’s intentional. her character is someone who struggles with her identity, but that does not make her shallow!

in a past conversation, she herself said that she wants to be free, na para sakaniya naman ang gagawin niya. she’s been controlled and manipulated her whole life. it’s the point of her character 🫩 she doesn’t feel like she has her own identity because growing up, cora shaped her to become someone that would only serve cora’s plans.

hindi lang para sa romance iyong kwento, it’s also her journey of discovering more things about herself and who she truly is.
