Something happened this morning that reminded me how much our actions can matter in an emergency.

We were stuck in traffic on 3MB when an ambulance needed a clear passage, but some motorists refused to move aside. I had to get out of the vehicle to help clear the road. Thankfully, I wasn’t the one driving.

After moving through the traffic, we discovered there had been an accident ahead, and the ambulance we had helped was heading there to rescue the victims.

Imagine losing precious minutes in an emergency because people refused to do the simplest thing: give way to an ambulance.

I’m glad I could play a small part in helping them get there on time. Please, when you see an ambulance approaching, make way. Those few minutes could be the difference between life and death.
