@MsMegara @dionnewarwick First time hearing this song; beautiful and sad at the same time ... also unfortunately timeless message ... it seems we never learn. The incomparable Ms. Warwick!
@foobabe @ThatEricAlper@familygrowing1 I don't want to compare Dolly's song to The Christmas Shoe song - which is schlocky - but the kids always pulls at my heartstrings and tear ducts.
@foobabe @ThatEricAlper@familygrowing1 I only learned of this song a couple of years ago. The way her voice lilts to imitate the child speaking. Dolly is a true treasure!
@ThatEricAlper Every song that talked about 'love' was acually talking about 'sex'. I was much older when I realized it was a euphemism. Before that I just thought folks were more romantic in the "olden days".

On Bloody Sunday, it’s worth reading or re-reading @BarackObama’s 2015 speech at Selma, his best in my view. We honor the marchers who “proved that nonviolent change is possible, that love and hope can conquer hate.” His words apply even more today. https://t.co/uWP5OAP8l1
