No signs of meaningful improvement in #humanrights#Eritrea warns expert @UN_HRC. “Enforced disappearance, torture and persecution of political opponents, journalists and members of religious communities remain central features of governance” #HRC62

🇪🇷 🇪🇷 Eritrea 🇪🇷 🇪🇷 is an open-air prison. Across the country, hardworking Eritreans struggle under a system that denies them freedom and opportunity, leaving many trapped in their own homeland.

The suffering of #DawitIsaak will continue as long as 🇸🇪 does not change its strategy by taking strong measures, such as immediately closing the 🇪🇷’n embassy in Stockholm and ending festivals that are the regime's source of income.#BlueRevolution@MehariMeng53005@MariaStenergard
Yirga, my proud sister.
I cannot admire your freedom, courage, decency, and passion for justice enough. You are an example and role model for all women (and men), so we are proud of you; don't give up ❤️! #BlueRevolution
It will undermine #SouthAfrica’s influence in #Africa as well as in continental and global institutions. It is likely to result in African countries not supporting South Africa as it pushes for reforms to make global trade, institutions and technology transfer fairer to developing countries and will undermine the country’s efforts to push for social justice around the world.
It was reported that several #African #ambassadors and high commissioners snubbed South Africa’s flagship Africa Day event this week in Moruleng by not attending, in what was seen as a protest against attacks on foreign nationals from African countries.

It shows mothers, wives, and sisters waiting, praying, and trying to see their loved ones inside

Menschen in Zellen,
die Wände weisen ihr Augenlicht ab,
ihre Gesundheit ist der Gewalt unterworfen.
Menschen, die mehr Leid haben,
als sie tragen können.

Yirgalem Fisseha’s bravery is a symbol of hope for all #Eritrea|ns. Despite imprisonment, torture, and years of suffering, she refused to be silenced. Her courage to speak the truth and stand for justice inspires people around the world. She is living proof that even the harshest oppression cannot defeat the human spirit. ✊
She grew up believing the story she was told until arrests, disappearances, and indefinite military service shattered it.
Yirgalem Fisseha takes the stage at the Oslo Freedom Forum to share a life split in two: from poetry to prison, from hope to solitary confinement. Her story reveals what it costs to speak when a state demands silence.
