Google Analytics got a lot more aggressive recently with its "doomsday" warnings regarding the sunset of Universal Analytics in favor of #GA4.
It's not just emails anymore, it's not just a top bar alert anymore.
It's as "In your face" as it gets.
If you haven't already set up a GA4 property/data stream for your Shopify store, I've also created a guide that walks you through opening a GA4 property/data stream for your store.

1/ If you've recently started using the new #GA4 native integration for #Shopify, you may notice inflated page view counts on your old GA (GA3) property.
If you've observed something like this, then this thread is for you. 🧵
6/ You could also disable the old native GA3 integration, though that integration sends additional richer events which you'll need for the data comparison and continuity, so I wouldn't recommend it just yet.
@heyitsalexP Another troubleshoot method you may want to consider is using your browser's "developer tools" console to identify conversion events being fired and what code is firing them (using the "Network" tab). Happy to help if you need me to show you how.
ICYMI - #Shopify just added a new native integration for #GA4.
You set it up it by installing the Google app as a channel.
It also looks like Shopify will allow both UA and GA4 integrations until July.
More updates soon.
@heyitsalexP Agreed. Although A/B testing usually requires a pretty big sample to get significant results for, it'll take most DTC brands a while to see results.
How about tools with no direct impact on conversion?
@heyitsalexP What in your view would be the best way to show you the impact of a SaaS tool? (Asking someone building a SaaS for DTC brands and agencies)
