@Chris_Nolann just rewatched Interstellar and appreciated it more the 3rd time. Thanks for the inspirational films. And if there's a directors cut / extended edition of... Really any movie you've made, I'd love to see it some day.
And Happy Belated Birthday!
@ItsWolfieMF Even if you know a BO is in the bag, I'd still want someone on my team to respond to this garbage fire. Point out that this is some kinda campaign to drop stock price. Especially if there's a big fuss about the validity of the news
@ItsWolfieMF Lastly, the company needed to hold over $35MM for like 10days in order to RS, I thought. If they did make that mark then maybe this makes sense
@ItsWolfieMF Also, I can imagine a buyout being contingent on the reverse split to get them in compliance. It would be a messed up move for holders, but the math works out for a 5-10$ buyout
@peace_mang @EdwardMKennedy2@SamHarrisOrg Like a perfect circle. No real life correlate, no physical version. But the mind (a real thing present in space) can articulate the concept through specific patterns in the brain to represent the concept, the concept is physically real but the subject is not.
@peace_mang @EdwardMKennedy2@SamHarrisOrg I mean, if you wanna stop anytime, just understand that I define "real" as physical reality. Everything else is just made up in the (physical) mind to describe something non-existent. 1/2
@peace_mang @EdwardMKennedy2@SamHarrisOrg So, it sounds like you're using a different definition of the words property, truth, real, and possibly concept, than I am. Is 1/5 of a pizza true? Or is it a concept? If we're talking about a real pizza, then isn't it real? Being divisible is a property of a whole (pizza) right?
@peace_mang @EdwardMKennedy2@SamHarrisOrg Pi can be found anywhere a person wants to calculate it. But the ratio exists, whether or not we comprehend it. So it's not "true" but is real. True would indicate that it could be either true or false. And insinuating a judgment into the world requires a mind.
@peace_mang @EdwardMKennedy2@SamHarrisOrg Who needs to know ratios of the diameter of a circle? Outside of humans, of course.
It's real (aka "is a physical property of the universe") but Pi is just a concept we use to describe the real world. It isn't the real world itself.
@peace_mang @EdwardMKennedy2@SamHarrisOrg The answer is obviously 'never.' Because the "concepts" humans have about reality, their truth value, and existence are not dependent on comprehending them. Truth doesn't exist outside the mind. Truth is also just a concept, another configuration of neurons. It's all physical. 2/

Lets assume I'm talking about real places and objects here. At what point did the trees originally described in the first sentence cease being 2 in number, in a clearing, or trees?
