I mean for a Tesla model 3 at 36k cash that goes 321 miles and zero to 60 in 5.8 seconds and has the ability to drive itself……I’d go Tesla all day. Slate is rad and definitely fits a niche for around town pick up utility but it’s less than ideal for any serious road trip. Not an impossible endeavor but you’ll really need to plan out the Tesla supercharger stops appropriately and it could potentially be a non starter in really cold weather with range for long distance. It will be a success no doubt but unlikely a grand slam. I’d be worried thou if I were selling the R2 currently. The electric pickup truck market just got super tight…….
@TeslaBoomerMama@grok It’s social media road rage. People really need to be kinder to each other in this medium. Kindness should be strived for all around
He has great advise and he was correct in calling the recent top in December. But we are in a slightly different environment currently with dedicated cybercab deployment eminent. There are many great opportunities out there like MU, however, I wouldn’t sleep on Tesla at this point. Just look at his Tesla projections into next year……
@liorsela The two points of contention I would have is that it takes longer than three minutes to pump gas and my personal experience on road tripping I would suggest that I usually only supercharge for about 20 minutes per stop……..
Jimmy Carr nailed something a lot of us feel but can’t explain.
We’re living better than 99.9% of humans who ever walked the earth, hot showers, modern medicine, endless entertainment, kids that actually survive infancy, yet so many of us feel miserable.
He calls it “life dysmorphia.” We get used to how good we have it (the hedonic treadmill), then compare ourselves to everyone else and tank our own happiness.
As he puts it: happiness = quality of life minus envy.
Marcus Aurelius put it perfectly: “Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself in your way of thinking.”
When was the last time you caught yourself feeling unhappy despite objectively having it pretty damn good?
