Someone asked me why the Yizhan fandom is called 🐢 and I realized a lot of newer 🐢 probably don't know the story behind it either.
In chinese BJYX fans are called bxg, it's an abbreviation of "BoXiao girl" or 百香果 = bai xiang guo (passion fruit, what's more common in Chinese)
Originally it was meant as an insult. 王八蛋 means "turtle egg" (idiot)
Fans took the name for themselves and called themselves 🐢 then
Other things that are maybe interesting for new fans:
BJYX = this one is a word play. The original one is "博君一笑" (BoJunYi/Xiao), which means "all I can do is make you smile". Since 笑 and 肖 are homophones, and 博 is the last character in Yibo's name, we get "博君一肖"
BJYXSZD = Can mean BoYunJiXiaoShiZhenDe = BJYX is real or the literal meaning "getting to the top of the snowy mounting side by side"
Yizhan = Was their team name, chosen by Yibo himself during DDU
ZSWW = Zhan Shan Wei Wang (战山为王), a Chinese idiom meaning "Conquering the mountain to become king"
LSFY = Lian Suo Fan Ying (连琑反应), chain reaction
So, BJYX = Top!Yibo/Bottom!Xiao Zhan
ZSWW = Top!Xiao Zhan/Bottom!Yibo
LSFY = both are switch
Personally, I like using "Yizhan" because it's the name Yibo chose, and I'm not attached to any particular dynamic. It's totally fine for people to have their own preferences, but I've never understood the dynamic wars. None of us knows what they actually prefer or what goes on in their bedroom.
To be honest, I wondered for a long time why our fandom color is yellow. If you physically mix red (Xiao Zhan) and green (Yibo), you get brown, not yellow.
But it's not about mixing it physical, it's about mixing light. When you combine red and green light, you get yellow. That's called additive color mixing (RGB)
I hope this helps. ❤️ If I made any mistakes, please tell me. It's too hot to think 😂

Wang Yibo's interview after his part of the race at China GT 2026 Zhuhai:
"I hope all the drivers can finish the race smoothly and safely"
🦁: "Actually, when I started, the track surface was still a little wet. And we all started on slicks.I was basically trying to find the limit of those slicks on a wet track.And I guess it felt like I found it a bit slowly.
And then later on I realized it was raining heavily. So I drove more and more conservatively and I hoped to bring the car back safely. I picked it up and handed it over to my teammate for the next stint. But actually, I just pulled off a really spectacular overtake,which also got everyone really fired up."
👤: "Since you've already worked with Melvin before at Shanghai, in terms of pace and other aspects of teamwork, did you feel there was more to it?"
🦁: "I think Melvin and I are both more on the conservative side, and within what we're able to control, we then push. We won't push into some unknown territory. Mm."
👤: "Because Zhuhai is also a fairly familiar track for you, in 2024 you also achieved very good results. So what expectations do you have for the race?"
🦁: "Uh, because right now everyone can see such heavy rain, I hope all the drivers can finish the race smoothly and safely... Thank you"
