What I’d really like feedback on is whether the boundary assumptions hold up, and where something like this could actually be useful.
I thought userfaultfd would just make checkpoints faster. It didn’t.

The idea is simple:
• checkpoint an explicitly managed memory arena
• resume the app while pages are copied in the background
• if an unsaved page is written, save the old page first
• later restore the exact captured state
Built in Rust on Linux with userfaultfd WP.
I think people are too harsh on GPT right now, Claude has great models, but everything shares the same usage limit
With GPT, regular chat is basically unlimited with a subscription
But if OpenAI kills that when merging Work and Chat though, i think it's over for them
🚨 OpenAI will release 20+ products at DevDay tomorrow
**Confirmed**
- DevDay is happening tomorrow, September 29
- "O" agent
- GPT-6.1/6.5 Astra (unconfirmed)
- New $500 tier
- Hardware device debut
- ChatGPT + Work merging into one
- Several other major announcements
Buckle up.
