Russell Wilson isn't quite so easy. Has a Ring, but so does Trent Dilfer.
Didn't start as unheralded, but still unexpectedly won a starting job in training camp. Changed the way the NFL played the game by showing a talented young QB leaves cap room to build a great team. Deadly on converting via scrambles for years.
10x Pro Bowl. Do you know how RARE that is? Only 4 QB in NFL history have more.
But no AP1s. Rarely a stats leader. Started so many seasons as MVP candidate and faded down the stretch. Flopped after a big trade/contract to the Broncos.
Primacy/Recency is a thing, and he's been subpar for years now.
But still hard to discuss the history of the NFL without discussing his threat to derail other teams for a good decade.
Borderline for HoF. Too many good QBs in the history, wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make it.
