Sometimes I get really somber.

Like sitting on a chair on your front porch with a drink in your hand when it's raining at 3am kind of somber.

Not because I'm some sort of clairvoyant smart ass, but because I can think in systems.

Today South Africans are being demonized on the media. Every SAn from the Western Cape to Limpopo is being painted with a broad brush in real time.

Now every black person who gets a boot to the head on the streets of Cape Town, Pretoria or Sandton is a poor African immigrant being mistreated by bloodthirsty Operation Dudula operatives.

Every one of those stories can't be true. The math doesn't work that way.

But guess who controls the media that you read and watch?

Guess who amplifies stories of the supposed "white genocide"?

Guess who have been trying for years to fully bring what's left of RSA back under its thumb?

Guess who went on live 4K TV a few months ago to say that the colonizers should not feel guilty that their ancestors pillaged and genocides an entire continent, and that in fact they should join hands to give it a round 2?

I get really weary sometimes.

Because if I tried explaining to our people....

That you can draw a fairly simple web between Nigerian military officers getting picked off, the famine in Sudan, the bombing of refineries across countries of the global south, the imprisonment of Julius Malema and the curious increased media attention to the Xenophobic attacks by SAns who are so impoverished they don't know their ass from their elbows...

They'd scoff and berate me for not minding my business... Even though to the rest of world, all of us from Cape Town to Cairo are STILL little more than naked savages dancing around a bonfire.

We just happen to live on a continent crammed full of natural resources that the colonizers need to survive.

That is why we have been at war for 500 years.

But because our people's only understanding of war is when an opponent carries gun and points it at your head, they cannot hope to understand.

This is why even I shout myself hoarse explaining to my beloved Nigerians, Kenyans, Ghanaians or Tanzanians that we were currently at war and the enemy's objectives are a complete and total subjugation of the entirety of the African continent...
