Landed in Dulles roughly 15 mins early. 2.5 hrs waiting on a gate. One plane pushed back but gate had to be checked. Gate was fine. Still waiting. Took plane to other side of airport. Still waiting! Are there not gates to rent or airline partners to work with? #aircanada

If you are a cyclist or use a scooter, then this woof is for you!

If you are coming up to pass a person with a dog, please ring your bell well in advance so we have time to move over. Please don't wait until you're right behind us to ring it. This can cause a dog to pause and turn towards the sound, which puts us at risk of a collision. It can also startle us or our humans, which isn't helpful. By giving us a bit more notice, we can be safely moved to the side, which gives everyone more room.

Also, try to slow down a bit. Most dogs walk on the left side, and here in North America, people pass left to left. It can be scary, especially to young dogs, to have something zip by in close quarters. Many owners will try to desensitize dogs by moving to the side of the path and offering treats and petting us when bikes pass. If you see that happening, assume the dog is in training and pass a bit slower.

We all have to share the paths. Dog owners should be responsible and pick up after dogs. Dogs should be responsible and keep their humans leashed except in designated areas, and everyone should pass each other in a safe fashion.
