@EylonALevy how is this different than the protesters who block major arteries like kvish echad? blocking public transportation should be made illegal across the board. I don't believe it should ever be acknowledged as an appropriate form of protest.
@shevereshtus what about the isur of being moser to the rashuyot? doesn't undermining the legitimacy of the Jewish state in the eyes of the world, regardless of it's governmental makeup equate to that at least in some sense?
@shevereshtus@YishaiFleisher i think the point about challenging information still stands.. also pretty sure there are laws on the books that any future land given up requires a popular vote? @grok am I wrong about that law?
@yoavgo I don’t think odds are usually used correctly in English .. kind of like “literally”. Odds the way they’re usually used in conversation can translate as סיכויים
@elonmusk the translations here are amazing -- at first I didn't even notice the arguments were originally expressed in other languages... the translation is so cogent, the nuance totally intact.
@degenutz@ibraheemch333@elonmusk I don't think it would be different, people would just have 3rd party ad networks that would pay them to advertize on social media and so people would still chase engagement if that was their thing.
@tyleraloevera You're cherry-picking stats, if you look at US aid in the last 20 years for example: Israel's received about half as much aid as Ukraine.
@shevereshtus i feel like (without having the historical knowledge to rely on) the blatant and unabashed anti semitism now parading around the world is probably more open than even pre-ww2 Germany. (back then i feel like people had more self respect, dignity and reserve) Very disturbing.
pretty sure that's 15,000 more km than anyone would ever need..?? The earth's circumference is ~40,000km (even taking LEO into account and hard to reach spots/orbits, still only ~45,000km) .. so unless you're trying to shoot the missile around the world and blow up it's own launchpad, you're still talking about at least 10,000km of overkill.
I think "Never Again" sums it up. Russia would sooner use nukes than Israel.. In fact, Medvedev keeps threatening it. Why would Israel ever delineate when exactly they would use nukes? Isn't that essentially the same philosophy as Trump never saying exactly what he will or wont do? The deterrence is severely hampered if the red lines are clear to everyone.
Ah ok. I just popped in to ask about asking chatgpt to give you background ona musag in Torah. So i guess this follow up clarification solves that. Obviously this still requires following up with the actual sources. But like today when the Tanya speaks about 3 different types of tzimtzum - i heard it in a different light than id heard it before and want to look further into what that means “different types of tzimtzum” my instinct is to first ask gpt to give me some relevant sources.
I am curious what the tipping point is at which time the ambient Jew-hatred justifies overcoming all the difficulties you mentioned.
Like, it's clearly BEFORE it becomes rampant and quotas are put on Jews leaving, or laws put in place preventing Jews taking their assets with them when they leave, but how does one define that?
