DE PIE ANTE LA SELECCIÓN DE CABO VERDE.
Almighty. Help us to protect our acts of worship. May we not be among those who pray, fast & give charity but curse, swear, gossip & backbite without batting an eyelid. Keep us mindful of such behaviour.
Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, just did what many Africans and Europeans would never do — and it even prompted a U.S. man to swear he would carry all Nigerians free of charge.
While on vacation in the U.S., he met a taxi driver who had once picked him up from the airport, now homeless and now living in the street after losing everything to a robbery and eventually lead to eviction.
Touched by his story, Stanley asked him to wait, then went to a dealership, bought him a brand-new taxi, and also got him an apartment.
The man was overwhelmed by the unexpected kindness and, in his excitement, vowed to carry all Nigerians free of charge — but Stanley humbly told him not to.
I met a guy named Olarewaju in a bus at Mushin market in Lagos yesterday.
I sat in the front seat and he joined me, greeting me with much respect as a Yoruba guy would, and I greeted him with a smile.
While we were still in the bus, a woman came selling soft drinks and bottled water. I offered to buy something for him, but he respectfully said, 'Thank you, but I can't take anything now, I am fasting.' I said, 'Oh, you are a Muslim.' He nodded.
Thereafter, I asked the woman to give me bottled water, and as I reached for my bag to pay, lo and behold, this guy had already paid for the water.
This act took me back to the days when we had Muslims who would call Christians to come and break their fast with them in a particular place, and some would be ready to give out food even when they are fasting.
It made me trust his fasting more.
This is the way forward for humanity.
Unfortunately, he is not on Facebook, but please wish him well.
Olarewaju may God bless you for your kindness.

Almighty. Make us among those who fast sincerely for Your sake. Accept our worship and nights in prayer which we do in full submission. Keep us away from heedlessness and forgive all our sins. Aameen.
If you don’t nurture your faith, it will weaken & leave you grappling with doubt. What better time to do it than in Ramadan. Satan will normally jump in at the slightest chance & create havoc in your mind. But he’s weakened now. So protect yourself before your heart hardens.
The passing away of a legend, the former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, May Allah have mercy on his soul, brought me to tears!
He was an upright man, who never missed his prayers and a very disciplined believer who served his people to the best of his ability. His name was synonymous with integrity.
He was definitely one of those who made me develop a much better perception of Nigerians as a people.
May Allah Almighty forgive your shortcomings and grant you the highest ranks of Jannah. Aameen.
May Allah Almighty make it easy for his family, friends and the nation of Nigeria.
It is quite ironic how @flyairpeace is quick to enforce strict rules on passengers, closing check-in counters 20 minutes before departure without any room for flexibility, and only trying to present yourselves as paragons of punctuality and discipline when it comes to passenger responsibilities.
But the moment the delay is on your end, be it a 10-hour delay or an outright cancellation, all that emphasis on time and order suddenly vanishes. No explanations. No apologies. No compensation. Passengers are left stranded, inconvenienced, and treated with silence.
Where is the same energy when flights are delayed indefinitely or cancelled without prior notice? When was the last time you issued a public apology or statement addressing these avoidable disruptions? It seems accountability is only a one-way street to you.
