@SketchesbyBoze The number of times I've quoted "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." is uncountable lol - but sure, no themes detected.
cool use case of chatgpt work i heard last night:
connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests.
every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc.
Senator Bernie Moreno tells Fox that the US will be sanctioning Canada due to the deteriorating air quality from the wildfires:
We're going to put sanctions on them, holding their assets, making sure they don't have visas, we'll put tariffs because we have to make sure the people suffering get compensated
Hi America. You have more wildfires than we do up here in Canada atm. Also, one of our firefighter pilots died a few days ago helping fight your fires, and you thank us by threatening tariffs due to our fires and wind direction…
Large amounts of wildfire smoke are moving from the northwestern US into western Canada this evening!
What should we do?
Try to stop it at the border? Should we tariff it? Should we sue?
To the Americans blaming Canada for smoke linked to global climate change, we in turn ask you to keep your exploding tick-borne diseases, your MAGA politics, your anti-vaxx hysteria and your illegal guns from infiltrating our nation. Sincerely, Canada

It’s VERY smoky in Osoyoos, BC right now, with smoke from the Kaiser Canyon fire blowing up from Washington State. If you won’t manage your forests to prevent these fires there’s no telling what we’ll do. *see how stupid that sounds?
I think the funniest part about all this is all these Americans crying about the smoke truly believe there isn’t a singular forest fire in the USA 😂
In 2026 so far:
Canada:
~3,137 wildfires
United States:
~39,764 wildfires
Maybe they should manage their forests. Am I right?
When the Gordie Howe bridge opens, I hope all Canadian transport companies insist that their drivers use the Gordie Howe bridge and avoid the Ambassador bridge at all costs.

My issue with the uproar on the Canada "exit tax" situation is that the tax ONLY exists when there is an untaxed capital gain. It's not a flat or percentage fee you pay because you're leaving - it's a tax you're paying because you have income that you've deferred taxes on.
Mark Carney isn't in Parliament this week because he is representing Canada at G7.
Pierre Poilievre isn't at G7 this week because he doesn't represent Canada.
Sometimes politicians are here, and sometimes they're there....
What's most infuriating about the Musk trillionaire shit is that his enterprise is built almost exclusively on gov contracts. It's not just that he's expropriating our wealth in an abstract way -- his fortune is built on the tax dollars we pay, that he then obtains through graft.
I saw a post on Reddit that said that “The underlying purpose of AI is to allow wealth to access skill while removing from the skilled the ability to access wealth.” And I don’t think I’ve ever seen AI described so incisively.
Dear @cityofnanaimo
And we're going to allow a data center to gobble up a part of what little water we have to drink?
Really? You think this a good plan?
