🐰: Bien dicho.
@extinctdodo7 tbh feeling hurt/offended on your part is valid! i'm just trying to say that asking to be respected isn't misogynistic, but demanding respect for men as a whole from wonder (who's part of the oppressed group) is what's problematic. i hope you understand what i'm getting at here.
@extinctdodo7 for educational purposes: it's actually misogynistic to demand a woman respect men as a general group. that's like saying the oppressed HAS TO respect the oppressor. women aren't obligated to give blanket respect to all men given how they're treated in systems dominated by men.
@extinctdodo7 just wanted to add that i'm really sorry that your mental health was impacted by this. i kinda joke with some friends the same way now but i get that goofing off/bantering can appear different for everyone. take care of yourself and get off your socials if it's affecting you irl.
@TheTitanical@extinctdodo7 i appreciate it. it's not at all my intention to come after anyone, and i hope you guys take this more as informative than anything else!
@extinctdodo7 i see your point but i think you missed what i said earlier about how you can't really place them on the same level 😭 idk where you're from but in the states, systemic gender inequality has historically contributed to attitudes of male superiority, hence the "toxic traits."
@extinctdodo7 i completely agree that no group of people should be treated badly and i can tell what you're saying comes from a good place. but to be fair i don't think wonder is "treating men badly" or promoting that in any way?
