@MichealMartinTD it's just words with no meaning from you..aren't you still facilitating flights of munitions over Ireland, going directly to the IOF, going directly into the guns pointing at the UNIFIL troops? And your pal Harris over shaking hands with US while they continue to fund Bebe? FFS
Every day, European governments support fossil fuels with more than one billion euros. Over 1 000 000 000 euros, every single day. Sign the petition to stop this! https://t.co/XDU1Ln93Km
@Corkcoco Fantastic! thanks for including the back story for Bronze Age Girl, brought a tear to my eyes. Can't wait to have a look next time passing by. Journeys don't have to be all about roads and potholes (!) but can include works of art that will intrigue and inspire
🎉 We are delighted to unveil two new large scale artistic features along the new N22 road between Macroom and Baile Bhuirne.
🎭 The first ancestral sculpture ‘The Bronze Age Girl’ represents a young female whose remains were found in a burial site during the archaeological works for the N22 development.
🎭 The second sculpture represents the mythical goddess Áine, who is associated with fertility, abundance, and the midsummer point of the year.
📍 ‘Áine’ is located on the raised verge facing oncoming westbound traffic in the townland of Coolavokig and has been positioned to face the Summer Solstice sunrise, while ‘The Bronze Age Girl’ is located on the raised verge facing oncoming eastbound traffic in the townland of Carrigaphooca and is lined up to face the Winter Solstice sunset.
🎨 The sculptures were created by West Cork based artist Sarah Goyvaerts and were commissioned by Cork County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland with funding from the Per Cent for Art Scheme for the N22 development.
