In light of #Dorothy,
The March 2026 Indian Trans Act strips away the right to self-identification and subjects an already marginalized community to greater state intrusion and medical scrutiny. Trans people’s lives and constitutional rights are threatened.
Please speak/share!
A Chennai-based women’s organisation funded by foreign based “gender critical” funding agencies like LGB alliance have filed a petition in the Supreme Court of India to argue trans women are not women.
This petition is based on a misreading of the NALSA judgement 2014, where the expansion of recognition of trans rights is seen at the expense of (cis)women’s rights, in line with how anti-trans movement has been pioneered in the United Kingdom.

This petition is fundamentally evil.
In a country where women die in the thousands from dowry deaths, honour killings and marital rape is not even criminalised, pretending trans women are “taking away” our rights by simply existing is a cruel joke.

No amount of apologies will erase the trauma and pain we've put transwomen in this society through! They are truly 'ulaga uyirai kaakum Meenakshis' @darmaduraijeeva akka may you and your people get everything you want for in life and beyond!

I think this scene is not being spoken about enough! When K saves S & S wipes her mouth once she wakes up is so natural & I can see Virumaandi movie’s touch there😭♥️
Then S gives a cute smile to K which is the best smile in the whole movie for me🫶🏻
