New paper from our lab!
We show early microbiome & metabolic signals precede diagnosis, and propose a shift to early risk stratification, microbiome-informed screening, and prevention.

New survival analysis method by Oshrit Shtossel:
Introducing RATIO! a new survival loss that uses censored data better, cuts prediction bias, and fits any model. And: FIESTA for smarter data augmentation and higher precision.

#VJ_pairing: we show that the frequency of human and mouse VJ combinations deviates from the one expected based on each gene usage frequency. Our results suggest a common structural mechanism for these biases. Published in @FrontImmunol. https://t.co/tkci4n4SYk
See ADVANCE, our new Bayesian #disease_frequencies estimator assuming a combination of conditions and time dependent probability of being positive to disease. It copes with the biases of current estimates and is a better predictor for #future_mortality https://t.co/bkoOpjd9Cx
GRIMME, our new EM algorithm to estimate HLA haplotype frequencies of multi-race populations. It can handle all types of ambiguities and datasets, and it produces much higher likelihood values and better haplotype recovery than current EM implementations. https://t.co/UcpfEE75Xz
Following #ERGO, We now present ERGO-II, a high accuracy TCR-peptide binding predictor discerns the relative impact of T Cell Receptor alpha and beta CDR3, MHC, V and J genes to peptide binding prediction. Published in @FrontImmunol. https://t.co/kuh84chC6v
Just published our article "CDR3 and V genes show distinct reconstitution patterns in T cell repertoire post-allogeneic bone marrow transplantation" with #Springer https://t.co/P8x0gqZb6H via @SN_Authors
One major issue during the corona outbreak was to estimate the actual number of infected. We show the equivalence between the ratio of tested individuals with a known source and the ratio of undiagnosed infected in the initial phase. https://t.co/As8RlFaytO
In a new preprint, we report no association between HLA alleles and Covid-19 susceptibility or severity. Our study is based on 73k individuals with Covid PCR test, among them 6.5k infected and 181 hospitalized.

Now published in @FrontImmunol. #ERGO (pEptide tcR matchinG predictiOn) is a highly specific and generic TCR-peptide binding predictor, based on state-of-the-art #deep_learning methods. We also define a set of tests to evaluate TCR-peptide binding.

We have shared the results of our latest study on @bioRxiv. This work has yet to receive formal review feedback but we have made it available early. Please comment! #OpenAccess https://t.co/GrA6yZPlQi
In modern theories #population_diversity is related to a high #invasion_rate of new types. We break this paradigm by showing that adding almost any mechanism of #catastrophes to the #population_dynamics induces a positive invasion rate but a low diversity.
