In 2015, Premier McNeil’s Chief of Staff was forced to resign after disclosing a MLA’s mental illness without their consent.
Pressuring a candidate to falsely say, against her better judgement, that she’s withdrawing over mental health issues seems equally unacceptable.

@globalhalifax That’s just it.. teachers adjusted to poor conditions like they always do.. students adjusted because that’s what they were told to do.. non of this means it was a safe working space for students ur adults.. the Minister must work in air conditioned offices
Before we ever put a pencil in a child’s hands, those hands should dig, climb, press, pull, squish, twist, and pinch in a wide array of environments and with a variety of materials. - Amanda Morgan
Over the past year we’ve been working with @GameChangers902 to bring to life a historic t-shirt that honours, celebrates and embraces our African Nova Scotian communities and beyond https://t.co/sMwFp1UDJV
With your support we can change the game! RETWEET to win a shirt! 🎉
12 cases for 19 and under. It’s going to be a messy evening of school based case announcements. FFS. Stay safe families, children, staff! Wishing you all luck on the Rona Roulette wheel. #nspoli#hfxpoli#COVID19NS#nstu#nsed#NSwave3
I teach in a school with a combo of 1500 students, teachers and staff. Please tell me @IainTRankin how I am to keep a small circle of contacts? There is no bubbling in schools! How do I keep myself, my students and my family safe?! #nspoli
Why are they not given the professional autonomy to teach virtually from home?
Teachers have been on the front lines of this pandemic. They have been entrusted with keeping our schools, and our kids safe.
They have been thanked and praised by our political leaders.
This is irresponsible of the @HRCE_NS and @nseducation.
Dr. Strang and @IainTRankin have encouraged those who can to work from home where possible. Why does this not apply to teachers who are teaching virtually?
They have been needlessly potentially exposed to COVID.
They have been told to do their part and get tested, but also DIRECTED to attend a childless school before they receive their test results.
They have been exposed to a DEADLY disease.
Teachers are asking....no pleading...for help. Help keep us safe. Help US keep your children safe.
Please @nseducation give teachers the permission to work from home when teaching virtually. Help teachers help keep our schools, kids and communities safe.
Why, given the massive increase of COVID cases in schools, are teachers being directed by @HRCE_NS to attend schools in person in order to teach virtually. Teachers at @SJAMschool and other schools have been at school this week, when students were kept home.
Shipyard Elementary School in Sydney closed till at least next Thurs after positive case of COVID-19 confirmed in school earlier this week. Students to work from home. Public health says it will directly contact anyone believed to have been exposed. Testing urged for all others.
