🧵 The last mile of stablecoin payroll is becoming physical.
@Zebec_HQ and @MoneyGram are expanding enterprise payroll by connecting Zebec’s payroll experience on @StellarOrg with MoneyGram’s global cash network.
Employer → Stablecoin payroll → Stellar → Local currency.
Here’s why that matters. 👇
Stablecoin payroll solves one part of the problem:
How do you pay employees and contractors globally, quickly and digitally?
But there’s another question:
What happens when the recipient actually needs to use that money locally?
That’s where the last mile matters.
With the expanded integration, employees and contractors can receive stablecoin payroll through Zebec’s experience on Stellar and access local currency through participating MoneyGram locations.
Digital salary meets physical financial infrastructure.
And the reach is significant.
@MoneyGram provides access across 170+ countries and territories, with a retail footprint approaching half a million locations globally.
For workers, that means stablecoin payroll doesn’t necessarily require remaining entirely inside the crypto economy.
The flow becomes remarkably simple:
Employer
↓
Zebec Enterprise Payroll
↓
Stablecoin on Stellar
↓
Employee / Contractor
↓
MoneyGram Ramps
↓
Local currency
That last step is critical.
Because global payroll isn’t truly global if receiving digital dollars creates another problem:
How do I actually use them where I live?
MoneyGram provides one answer.
But recipients aren’t limited to cash.
Zebec’s broader payroll model is designed around multiple ways to use earnings:
Receive digitally
→ retain or transfer value
Spend digitally
→ supported Zebec card infrastructure
Cash out locally
→ MoneyGram Ramps
One payroll system.
Multiple destinations.
And @StellarOrg sits underneath this as the settlement infrastructure.
That’s important because the network increasingly connects several pieces of the payment lifecycle:
Stablecoin issuance
→ Settlement
→ Cross-border movement
→ Payroll
→ Digital spending
→ Fiat off-ramps
Not simply moving tokens between wallets.
Moving value between financial environments.
Now zoom out.
Stellar already has:
USDC + CCTP
USDT0 + LayerZero
MoneyGram Ramps
Zebec Enterprise Payroll
Global payment rails
Different pieces serving different functions.
Together, they increasingly form infrastructure connecting:
Employers → Digital dollars → Blockchain settlement → Workers → Local economies
And this is where the bigger picture gets interesting.
The future of payments probably isn’t simply:
Fiat OR stablecoins.
It may increasingly look like:
Fiat → Stablecoins → Onchain settlement → Fiat
with blockchain operating quietly in the middle.
The user doesn’t necessarily need to care which rail moved the money.
They care that they can receive it, spend it and access it.
That’s what makes this development more interesting than another partnership announcement.
@Zebec_HQ provides the payroll experience.
Stellar provides the settlement infrastructure.
MoneyGram provides access back into local fiat.
Payroll → Settlement → Distribution.
The blockchain becomes infrastructure rather than the destination.
And that may be exactly what real-world adoption is supposed to look like. 🌍

Zebec adds MoneyGram cash pickup to its Stellar stablecoin payroll
@Zebec_HQ streams employee and contractor pay in stablecoins on the @StellarOrg network. With @MoneyGram Ramps built into that flow, workers can now collect their earnings as cash in local currency at an agent counter, no bank account required.
Ramps handles $USDC cash-in and cash-out across more than 170 countries and territories. Access depends on local availability and applicable law.

Zebec SuperApp Adds a New Way To Earn On Stablecoins & ETH
Zebec (@Zebec_HQ) has launched Blend Yield inside the Earn section of its SuperApp.
According to Zebec, the integration allows eligible users to put stablecoins and ethereum:native to work without leaving Zebec.
Each user reportedly gets a separate non-custodial smart account and remains the sole signer. Funds are kept separate instead of being pooled with other users.
Zebec says users can track positions and withdraw directly from the SuperApp.

The shift from shipping to scaling is the right one, and getting more enterprises running payroll, cards, and treasury on-chain with public case studies is where the payments thesis actually gets proven.
The first half of 2026 was about shipping products. The second half is about scaling adoption.
@simonb_ldn shares what's ahead for the second half of 2026, from enterprise adoption to expanded buybacks, ecosystem growth, and more.

While many are familiar with the long-standing ZBCN buyback program, some context on its history:
• While token burning was included in the token mechanics of the initial ZBC token, a DAO Vote was passed in January 2024 to pause burning to conform with listing requirements for certain centralized exchanges.
• After the migration to the current ZBCN token, a second DAO Vote was passed in October 2024 to reinstate the ZBCN buyback program using revenue from Zebec Cards.
• Our buyback program has expanded significantly since then with over 500M tokens taken out of circulation and custodied with Uphold Institutional.
• These tokens will never re-enter supply and we have recently expanded our buyback program to include fees paid in ZBCN within our new Super App and Enterprise Payroll suite.
• Pending new exchange listings this year, the project will revisit a DAO Vote later in the year for the community to decide the direction on token deflation
Another quarter, another $ZBCN buyback done. 48.5M tokens repurchased and locked out of circulation for good.
With the final unlock cleared back in March, there's no fresh supply left to offset. Every revenue-funded buyback now bites straight into circulating supply. Isn't this what sustainable tokenomics should look like?
