There are currently 16.9 million cancer survivors in the US. Despite the challenges of short-term and long-term effects of treatment, cancer survivors are resilient. YMCAs in California celebrates survivors during #NationalCancerSurvivorMonth.
We have a final tip for National #WaterSafetyMonth. The Y’s Safety Around Water program teaches “reach, throw, don’t go” concept of using a long object to reach them, & pull them to safety. By using this technique, children help their friend without compromising their own safety.
