किसी भी तरह के UPI लेन-देन पर शुल्क लगाना डिजिटल भुगतान की भावना के विरुद्ध है।

यूपीआई ने पैसों का लेन-देन बहुत आसान बना दिया है।

अगर इससे बैंकों का खर्च बढ़ रहा है तो यह भी देखिए कि उनका एटीएम और चेक का खर्च बच रहा है।

सरकार का नोट छापने का खर्च घट रहा है।

नोट लाने-ले जाने, सँभालने का ख़र्च बचा है।

डिजिटल भुगतान सरकार की नज़र में रहता है, यह काले धन की संभावना कम करता है।

कल इससे जुड़ा टैक्सेशन का बिल हंगामे में केवल दो मिनट में लोक सभा में पारित हो गया।

जबकि विपक्ष को इस बिल पर विस्तृत चर्चा करानी चाहिए थी।

इन सब बातों को सदन के माध्यम से देश के सामने रखना चाहिए था और सरकार से स्पष्टीकरण माँगा जाना चाहिए था।

हालाँकि सरकार ने कहा है कि दो हज़ार रुपए से अधिक के भुगतान पर तभी शुल्क लगेगा जब यह पर्सन टू मर्चेंट या मर्चेंट टू मर्चेंट होगा।

पर्सन टू पर्सन पर शुल्क नहीं लगेगा।

कितना शुल्क होगा, यह RBI-NPCI मिल कर तय करेंगे।

Everywhere, TMC people are being encouraged by some groups within the BJP. This is not acceptable at all.

Kaustav Bagchi, BJP-MLA from Barrackpore, is now facing this problem.

जब भगवान के नाम पर कथा/प्रवचन करने वाले लोग चार्टर्ड विमान से घूमेंगे,आलीशान बंगलों में रहेंगे,ब्रांडेड कपड़े पहनेंगे और पूरी बेशर्मी से अपनी इस luxury lifestyle का दिखावा भी करेंगे तो धर्म के नाम पर लालच तो बढ़ेगा ही!आज धर्म के नाम पर हर तरफ व्यापार चल रहा है..और ये कथावाचक/प्रवचन करने वाले श्रोताओं को सादा जीवन जीने के उपदेश देते हैं😀 कहां से ये आपको साधु,संत,सिद्ध,महान दिखाई देते हैं? ये सब बस बिज़नेसमैन हैं और इन्हें वैसे ही देखा जाए..पैसे,पद,प्रसिद्धि के लालच में धर्म को बेच रहे व्यापारी🙏

A historical footnote that often gets lost in contemporary politics:

The road long known as Suhrawardy Avenue in Kolkata was not named after Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy or HS Suhrawardy, the Bengal Premier associated in public memory with the series of tragic and communal events of ‘Direct Action Day’ in 1946. He was later called as the ‘Butcher of Bengal’.

The road was named after his uncle ( mama) , Sir Dr. Hassan Suhrawardy—a distinguished surgeon, academic, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and the first Muslim Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University.

The Calcutta Municipal Corporation named the avenue in April 1933, during Sir Hassan’s tenure as Vice-Chancellor. His family residence, Kashana, stood on the very road that bore his name. He was knighted in 1932 and later renounced the title in 1946.

With the Kolkata Municipal Corporation now renaming the road as Gopal Mukherjee Road in honour of ‘Gopal Patha’, a different chapter of Bengal’s history is being commemorated.

But whatever one’s view of the renaming, the historical record is clear —- Suhrawardy Avenue was originally named after Sir Hassan Suhrawardy, not H.S. Suhrawardy ( Butcher of Bengal).

This is my personal political opinion, not an analytical assessment.

Suvendu Adhikari’s meeting with the rebel TMC MPs has made the BJP’s role behind the split quite visible. In my view, the same interpretation can also be applied to the split among the MLAs.

I am not sure BJP voters in Bengal, especially those who supported the party out of frustration with alleged corruption in the TMC, will necessarily appreciate this development. That said, I do not see this posing any significant electoral risk to the BJP in West Bengal in the upcoming elections.

My question is whether this move was really necessary at this moment. If the objective was merely to increase the NDA’s numbers in the Lok Sabha and politically weaken Mamata Banerjee, it could perhaps have waited. There are many more pressing issues and governance priorities in Bengal that deserve the BJP government’s attention.

I shed no tears for the TMC’s self-destruction. My only hope is that the political culture of the vandals doesn’t start contaminating the W.Bengal BJP. We in the BJP have to be always wary of false friends who are today cosying up to us because they need to wash away their past sins. The detox of Bengal cannot be left incomplete.
