Women’s health cannot wait for ‘better times.’ In moments of crisis, conflict, or hardship, protecting health rights becomes even more urgent.
This IDAWH, let’s all take simple actions that help build healthier, safer, and more equitable communities for women and girls.
Women and girls deserve equitable, accessible, and people-centred health systems that remain strong during crises and leave no one behind. Health rights are essential, not optional, and building resilient systems today is critical to safeguarding the dignity and well-being.
This International Day of Action for Women’s Health, we join the global call to protect Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Justice (SRHRJ) as fundamental human rights, even in times of conflict, climate emergencies, and economic hardship.
Menstruation should never be a barrier to education, dignity, or opportunity. Yet many adolescents still miss school and face stigma because of poor menstrual health support.

Menstrual health remains a critical issue affecting adolescents’ education, wellbeing, confidence, and participation in society.

Just a kind reminder that FGM does not prevent promiscuous behaviour in girls. We must continue to debunk this myth to protect girls from the violence that FGM truly is.
