@Skye22276029298 unfortunately the area is right in the middle of a radar hole too.. the lack of adequate radar coverage in so many areas that are very prone to severe weather really needs to be addressed
@PlaysSaheb wondering if this could have a tornado/waterspout risk as well - several tornadoes in central america have been associated w/ tropical storms/hurricanes
@Skye22276029298 feel free to send them to me, i can try geolocating them! theres also a few more videos i can send you if you dont have them already :)
@Skye22276029298 for sure, i do think there's IF4 damage in çaybeyi & parts of akçamezra which ive notified QC of. they said theyve been pretty busy with recent cases (its peak storm season in europe after all) but theyll hopefully be able to look at it soon
little akçamezra survey update (now that im unsuspended 🥲) - 4 locations of IF3 damage (ajjasza, çaybeyi, akçamezra, kayacık), with 2 of these under review for a potential upgrade; also slight path changes (now 26.7 km / 790 m)

searching for turkish radar imagery/archives over the kilis/gaziantep area from 3 may 2026 (esp around 1130 - 1400 utc), if anyone has anything that could help please lmk <3
@Skye22276029298 i'm not sure, im only surveying this tornado because of its part in syria so i wouldnt personally be looking over the other tornadoes, but i can bring this up during the rating discussion
@Skye22276029298 yeah i could totally send you a kml file for it! i'll dm you in a bit, just keep in mind that the survey is still under review & is subject to change
very interesting behavior for the akçamezra tornado, where a failed occlusion and loop preceded rapid, violent re-intensification before it reached peak intensity in çaybeyi and akçamezra
notice the major debarking in the 2nd image! i've been spending a lot of time looking into this area lately, imo theres the possibility of IF4 damage which i will bring up with more experienced people once i'm finished putting together a survey document
borderline violent damage south of akçamezra near çaybeyi- strong trees w/ significant debarking (~50%, close to DoD 9 threshold?) & a frame building (probably a farmhouse?) was completely obliterated. if the tornado was at IF4 intensity at some point in its life, it was here
