🚨Extension Update
Rajasthan High Court hearing concluded.
CBDT counsel did not file reply and asked for next date and court set next hearing date 28th september
It Simply Means that They are Going to Extend.
#ExtendTaxAuditDueDate
EXTEND THE TAX AUDIT DUE DATE TO 31ST OCTOBER — PERMANENTLY
QUALITY COMPLIANCE NEEDS TIME — NOT JUST A DEADLINE
A Tax Audit is not a form-filling exercise. It requires examining books and records, reconciliation, verifying supporting documents, tax analysis, documentation, and professional judgement.
At the same time, Chartered Accountants are required to manage several other statutory compliances around the same period.
WHY IS AN EXTENSION NEEDED?
1️⃣ Audit takes time
A thorough audit cannot be completed properly by simply working against the clock.
2️⃣ Multiple compliances compete for the same time
The concentration of important statutory deadlines creates an enormous workload for professionals and their teams.
3️⃣ Every day of delay in taking a decision reduces the time available for quality
As 30th September approaches, every day without clarity means less time for verification, reconciliation and review.
4️⃣ Excessive pressure affects professional well-being
Long working hours, continuous late-night work and sustained deadline pressure can adversely affect the health and well-being of professionals. THE CHOICE SHOULD NOT BE BETWEEN SPEED AND QUALITY.
A permanent extension to 31st October would provide:
Realistic Time → Better Verification → Better Review → Better Quality Compliance → Less Pressure
This is not about reducing accountability.
It is about creating a compliance framework in which professionals can discharge their responsibility carefully, accurately and sustainably.
OUR HUMBLE REQUEST
🙏 Extend the Tax Audit Due Date to 31st October — PERMANENTLY.
📢 Let us raise our collective voice for:
TIME FOR QUALITY.
TIME FOR ACCURACY.
TIME FOR A HEALTHIER PROFESSION.
TIME FOR WORK-LIFE BALANCE.
THE EARLIER THE DECISION, THE BETTER THE QUALITY.

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia , just one request on Tax Audit
No extension? Say it clearly and hold your ground.
Extension? Give it now, not at midnight on the 30th.
Uncertainty is costing more than the deadline itself.
