🚨 Meta goes down. Publishers get hit. Fraud starts there.

This is not just a Facebook outage story.

It is a centralised platform risk story.

Latest facts:

• Facebook, Messenger and parts of Instagram suffered a major outage
• Downdetector showed more than 113,000 Facebook issue reports at peak
• Around 10,000 Instagram issue reports were also logged
• Users were logged out and unable to access core services
• Meta confirmed it was working on a fix
• No full technical root cause was disclosed at the time

Now add the wider picture.

LBG Media, owner of LADbible, warned that Facebook algorithm changes and weaker search traffic hit its indirect revenue.

Its figures:

• H1 revenue: £52.4m
• Direct advertising revenue: £37.6m
• Indirect revenue: £14.5m
• Indirect revenue down 41%
• Adjusted EBITDA down 34% to £8m

Then add the fraud layer.

Lloyds said 68% of its customer fraud cases started on Meta platforms.

That is the real issue.

One centralised platform becomes:

• A media distribution gatekeeper
• An advertising gatekeeper
• A fraud attack surface
• A business dependency
• A social communications layer
• A single outage risk

This is why sovereign infrastructure matters.

I think we should re-evaluate the @caffeineai subscription pricing because it's becoming a challenge for many builders.

100 credits for $50 per month may sound reasonable at first, but for anyone building something serious, those credits could easily be exhausted within a couple of days.

Instead of relying solely on monthly subscriptions, introducing bulk credit purchases could be a better option. For example:

• 100 credits — $50
• 1,000 credits — $400
• 2,000 credits — $799

This would give builders more flexibility, reduce friction for power users, and encourage larger projects to stay within the ecosystem rather than worrying about running out of credits mid-development.

A pricing model that scales with usage could make @caffeineai more attractive to both hobbyists and serious builders. 🚀
