Not really. America is very diverse(way more diverse than any European country), and simplistic view of the American electorate will result in miscalculations. Although I was born in the USSR, as an American citizen, I care less about temporary hardship but more about integrity of politicians and basic freedoms that everyone should have. And I drive an electric car… Also, I am a registered Republican but will be voting for Democrats for Congress and Senate on Tuesday. I love the US and I love dearly Europe. No one is perfect and friends should tell each other when we are wrong. But don’t write off friends easily: they are a priceless asset
Although people all over the world are happy to see Trump and MAGA becoming unpopular in the USA, the reason behind it is far less encouraging.
Trump could support Putin and Russia all he wanted. He could continue to let Ukrainians get slaughtered, treat Canada like shit, threaten Denmark with war, steal from Venezuela to line his own pockets, support Israel's brutality, and insult allies day after day. The American public doesn't support these things, but they don't seem to care very much about them either.
The only reason people are now turning against Trump is because — of all unimportant things — gas has become a little bit more expensive in in a country wealthier than any other in world history. THAT is what infuriates the average voter and makes them turn against Trump
The rest of the world is lucky that this is happening, as it weakens Trump. But that doesn't mean we should assume that the USA will act morally on the world stage in the future. Deep down, they simply don't care very much.
France is showing the world what real accountability looks like. Paris prosecutors have launched a major criminal investigation into Elon Musk’s X, raided its Paris offices and summoned Musk and former CEO Linda Yaccarino for questioning.
The allegations are staggering, political manipulation through algorithms, child sexual abuse material, sexually explicit deepfakes generated by Grok without consent, Holocaust denial, unlawful data extraction and election interference.
While Musk parades around pretending to be a defender of free speech, his platform faces allegations involving the exploitation of children, the sexual abuse of women through AI-generated imagery, the manipulation of political discourse and threats to democratic elections.
Bravo, France! This is what standing up to billionaire arrogance looks like. Democracy is not a billionaire's personal playground, social media platforms are not above the law, and Elon Musk does not get to buy himself immunity from accountability. France is making it clear that the rule of law still matters, and the rest of the democratic world should be paying attention.
Thank God I've Got Nukes!

Putin praised Elon Musk and called him one of his "American" partners, this come after weeks of Musk antagonizing Ukraine and throttling their air defence.
"Elon Musk is genius, a real genius." "We are in close contact with our American partners, including Mr. Musk."
“Trump Has Been on Putin’s Side All Along”: US General Delivers Scathing Criticism
Retired US Lieutenant General Ben Hodges has sharply criticized Donald Trump over his handling of Ukraine. Speaking on Ukraine’s United News telethon on the 1+1 channel, Hodges accused the US president of effectively siding with the Kremlin over the past two years.
Among the examples he cited were delays in delivering Patriot interceptor missiles, the suspension of ballistic missile warnings, problems involving Starlink, and Putin’s invitation to the G20 summit.
According to Hodges, Trump has repeatedly avoided criticizing Vladimir Putin while putting pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The general also pointed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statements concerning possible Ukrainian territorial concessions.
Hodges described this approach as a strategic mistake that has placed the US administration “on the wrong side of history.”
