@VcExP@Pirat_Nation that's what I thought until I tried it, especially since you can also sync it with android devices. also this is just fear mongering, wallpaper engine hides application wallpapers by default and also gives a big warning when trying to use one
@choehau_ara YouTube has no replacement. I'd easily switch to teamspeak for calls, especially if the server side screen sharing was available. For messages with friends probably telegram. Don't really know what'd replace servers though
@choehau_ara Can't replace chrome because google syncing is good and works no matter what os. If it wasn't for the sync I'd use helium. Spotify is also pretty good and it'd suck to lose the integrations I have. Only possible replacement for me would be apple music since tidal is missing stuff
@kirlecode seems pretty neat. only complaint I have is that as visually appealing it may be, the viewport smoothing doesn't really feel appropriate for a design tool
@Raccoonmanthin1@Jollie_Ollie_@SadlyItsBradley ah true, I couldn't remember if it was 12 or 16 but was too lazy to look up. also for some reason I was thinking about virtualization not emulation. though still, only the cpu is emulated so it shouldn't really have much overhead but still true that windows version won't run well
@MagikarpUsed@yabaizettai@Pirat_Nation But then that's not fair to steam customers. If you want to avoid the steam cut you can sell steam keys on other platforms
@Raccoonmanthin1@Jollie_Ollie_@SadlyItsBradley Not emulation, it's translation but it still wouldn't run too well because we're talking about a mobile chip with 12gb of memory. Using the android version lets you just use the mobile optimized versions of worlds and avatars
@AzzyTheKitty@luseemeow It basically just includes the engine and other libraries to run the game but it downloads all the game files when you open it. This lets they push updates quicker since they don't need to wait to get game updates approved on play store each time
@Pirat_Nation I don't like the new store page because it just looks bad, I don't need a single game taking up 70% of my screen. Also I wish it just took more advantage of horizontal space
@ditto_arts@Dante9006_@phinn888@GeForce_JacobF I mean you can check how a 5070 mobile already performs but save the world is much more cpu heavy so it's probably an okay test. I'd like to see beamng though, it's heavy on the cpu, gpu, and memory

@KlodVonBons@NVIDIARTXSpark Comfyui is for visual ai like image or video generation and yes it can be setup with a single exe file. Openclaw is a framework for agentic ai which acts a little more autonomously but is generally risky. I'd recommend hermes-agent instead, the team behind it is reputable
@TautBunion_L@AaronMLong@SothisInkling@JakeSucky Yeah, it would be a problem for consoles but legally you can do this as long as rerouting to the custom server is through a patch to a legally owned copy and the server code is written from scratch
@ToolDetector@Pirat_Nation Monthly breeches is crazy. Also I don't know if I understood the subscription service part right but you can get monthly subscriptions to some games, whether it's a premium subscription for a game or as a license to launch a game (for example adobe substance painter)
@TRDenTechs@_ViolaLayne_ So your model just uses the depth from the Kinect instead of the skeleton model already built into the Kinect sdk then right? Are there any plans for additional camera based tracking or would you just recommend other dedicated software for that?
