🇯🇵🇮🇱 Hotels in Japan, now refuse to accept Israeli tourists
Israelis on facebook are claiming that they're being denied lodging at hotels in Japan because harboring anyone with ties to the IDF could be considered accessory to war crimes
@pissvortex
I don't want to hear that the borders are closed. We know. This situation is extremely volatile and this is one small way we can help. Every dollar donated to their evacuation will give them hope of a new start. Donate & share. #HelpMahmoud#GazaEmergency https://t.co/eCASGfl1zI
The dead can't be brought back to life. But it's still possible to save the living. President Biden announced today that he won’t supply certain weapons if Israel attacks Rafah. Even if this policy shift saves only one life: still, that one life might be your own. IT WAS PRIMARILY THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATIONS THAT FORCED THIS CHANGE. Let it weigh heavily on the conscience of every university president contemplating the expulsion of these students: YOU ARE PUNISHING YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE SAVED LIVES THAT, BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD, MIGHT HAVE BEEN YOUR OWN.
🚨BREAKING! Multiple leaders of the ALL OUT FOR RAFAH march in NYC were arrested by the NYPD while they led over a thousand pro-Palestine demonstrators in the streets of Manhattan. We will not stand for the intimidation of the NYPD. The more they try to silence us the louder we will be!
Head to jail support at 1 Police Plaza NOW!
@SaeedDiCaprio I’m so curious about the Israeli public response to this. They’re happy to blast his music and stomp around on stolen land and rejoice. Will they rejoice to this one!? Or will they finally leave and go back to their country of origin?
Disney shares are down 10%, their theme parks aren’t doing great, and their following suite of other streamers to stop password sharing to drive subscriptions up. Keep boycotting! #fuckDisney
The American-Israeli genocidal efforts have made it to their last target in Gaza. Sweeping “arrests” in the West Bank. A “humanitarian port” is underway. The prospective future for the remaining Palestinians looks very much like the life of Native Americans now.

@omarshennib The reaction and lack of action from #STEMfaculty across the world and especially here in the US at #HSI and #diverse institutions just proves what we have been saying all along. Your #EDI statement is performative at best and absolutely trash in practice.
The world:
Humans pitching tents to tell other humans to stop killing humans.
The humans really want to keep killing and so they bashed the tent-pitching humans on the head to get them to shut up so they can keep killing humans.
The police are never the right answer. Minouche Shafik called the police against her advisory board’s vote to set a precedent for fascism to take hold of every other college campus. It’s not working. It’s exposing the truth.
Student protestor tells me police presence from the start made it a “self-fulfilling prophecy.” Says @UTAustin protestors had no intention of violence and wanted to exercise their 1A rights peacefully, but believes law enforcement in riot gear escalated situation to where it’s now about students vs. police.
Congresswoman @IlhanMN spoke at the student protest at the University of Minnesota today.
The University is in her district and there has been an encampment there as well.
Correct me if I’m wrong…I think she may be the first member of congress to speak at one of these protests since they began.

Thanks to @KRCLradio for having us to discuss the Palestin film screening series this month. Such an important conversation and a constant reminder that we are all connected, especially during times of despair.
An Israeli occupation soldier posted a picture of himself in Gaza holding a young girls sock on his Instagram and wrote in Hebrew which translates to:
"Old hobbies: sports and writing, new hobbies: sniffing a 5-year-old girl's sock twice a day for four months."
Faculty should work on remembering how difficult mastery of new concepts was. Confirming something is challenging, allows the challengee to rise to the occasion. #psychologicalSafety
A student told me that she had taken the class with another faculty member and failed. She said through tears, that I inspired her to keep trying, especially because I showed my transcripts and shared my failures as a student.

Rare protest in Bahrain: after the US-UK bombing of Yemen, demonstrators take the streets to reject the monarchy’s normalization with Israel. Chanters said from Yemen to Lebanon, Bahrain to Palestine, there is only "one people" and "we will not be intimidated."
