This is what I will lobby the candidates for New York State Assembly
1. Boost funding and research for preventing and managing zoonotic diseases like Lyme disease and Chikungunya, which pose growing threats to residents statewide.
2. Strengthen statewide efforts against the invasive spotted lanternfly through increased awareness, monitoring, and control measures to protect agriculture, forests, and local ecosystems.
3. Enact restrictions on siting lithium-ion battery storage or manufacturing facilities near residential areas to prioritize public safety and reduce fire risks.
4. Expand access to free after-school physical fitness programs, health education, and training resources for all public school students to promote wellness and combat childhood obesity.
5. Modernize our education system to better prepare students for today’s economy and society, including flexible structures that move beyond outdated rigid grade-level models where appropriate.
6. Double funding and ambitious goals for the Billion Oyster Project to restore New York Harbor’s ecosystem, improve water quality, and support biodiversity—it’s a proven, high-impact initiative.
7. Enhance hospital and medical record privacy through stronger cybersecurity standards and protections to safeguard patient data amid rising threats.
8. Urge the EPA to issue a “not protective” determination in the next Hudson River PCBs review and invoke the reopener provision if needed, ensuring General Electric completes a thorough cleanup—PCB levels in fish remain a serious health concern.
9. Proactively prevent the spread of invasive feral swine (often called “Canadian super pigs”) from reaching New York borders through border monitoring, eradication planning, and inter-state coordination.
10. Require age verification on pornography websites, following successful models in other states, to better protect minors from harmful content.
11. Improve access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for men under medical guidelines, including reviewing coverage thresholds (e.g., raising from <350 ng/dL to <500 ng/dL where clinically appropriate) to support health equity.
12. Accelerate and expand the deployment of advanced small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs/mini reactors) upstate beyond the current Nuclear Reliability Backbone targets (aiming for more than the announced 5 GW new capacity toward an 8.4 GW total backbone). This reliable, zero-emission baseload power is essential for grid stability, especially compared to intermittent offshore wind.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 53 YEARS, THE KNICKS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS 🏆
New York defeats San Antonio 4-1 in the NBA Finals, capturing their third championship in franchise history!
Knicks fans just stormed Five Guys and started throwing chairs at the restaurant workers after the game. Actual employees doing their jobs.
This is NYC in 2026. Completely out of control.

Where is the leadership? Service workers can’t even clock in without chaos. Fix your city.
