@echipiuk At the same time making trade deals with China is a very good thing they say, but for who?
Poor people will work for pennies, goods will get cheaper for some. Everything is well calculated for the benefits of those in power and their partners, not for the working class.
Why is it that Canada, and so many Canadians, act so entitled?
We pretend we have world-class healthcare, education, infrastructure, social programs and public services, while the reality around us tells a very different story. Our public institutions and services are crumbling and dysfunctional.
It is not just embarrassing; it is unsustainable. We cannot keep congratulating ourselves on how well Canada works while ignoring the reality around us: too many of our institutions and public services are failing us.
At the same time, we tax, regulate and resent the entrepreneurs, businesses, workers and industries that actually generate the wealth needed to sustain the very systems we constantly brag about.
Prosperity is not an entitlement. Government does not create wealth. It creates the conditions that either allow people to build, invest, innovate and create wealth, or make it increasingly difficult for them to do so.
A strong social safety net requires a strong, productive economy underneath it. You cannot weaken the foundation indefinitely and expect everything built on top of it to keep standing.
And we need to stop constantly looking outside our borders for someone to blame. Other countries. Other leaders. Other governments.
We have serious problems right under our noses, many of them created by decisions made right here at home.
You cannot continually undermine the people who create prosperity, demand more and more from the system, and then look elsewhere for someone to blame when that system begins to fail.
At some point, Canada needs to stop pointing fingers at everyone else and look in the mirror.

@CBSNews Well Canada became Chinese state long time ago and one of the trade deals between Canada and China was the betrayal to the sovereignty of the Canadians citizens.
Brazilian influencer Bianca Barreto has been sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay R$20,000 (about $3,800) in damages after being convicted of criminal misgendering and calling a transgender woman a "man."
The conviction stems from a 2024 social media video in which Barreto referred to Congressman Duda Salabert, a transgender politician from the left-wing Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL), using male pronouns and said, "A man is a man, a woman is a woman."
The judge ruled that deliberately referring to Salabert by biological sex constituted "social racism."
Every year in this region and in BC, Canada lives are put in danger and homes are being destroyed by who and for what? Who benefits from that and what is their agenda?
Oh, wait I think we all know the truth..I just wonder untill when people will tolerate it?

Saskatoon spent nearly $300K on three giant plastic rocks.
@taxpayerDOTcom is blasting the $297,490 purchase, saying taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay for controversial "art."
It's far from Saskatoon's first controversial public art project.
