We were near that Area (border Ica-Huancavelica) recently for vacations. We came back August 8. It seems that the end of August is a time for strong earthquakes as I was in Lima, Peru on August 15, 2007, when the 7.9 Pisco Earthquake happened. In Lima it was not too bad.
