@PRIMEVAL_AXIOM See in this situation . There were 3 SA players on the left side. It allows you to create passing triangles easily. We could go on and on about this. Guess we have to agree to disagree
@PRIMEVAL_AXIOM@FaisalChibsah@Dani77k Since you are interested in tactics kindly research on pressing traps and pressing triggers. It’s also wrong to suggest that a chip pass corners you. Most ball playing goalkeepers use chip passes to bypass press.
@PRIMEVAL_AXIOM@FaisalChibsah@Dani77k That’s incorrect. A chip pass to the left wing back after taking a touch would have bypassed the press of Mexico. Check the image . You don’t play a bounce pass when there is a lot of pressure. If the weight of your pass is wrong there is a likelihood it would be intercepted
@PRIMEVAL_AXIOM@FaisalChibsah@Dani77k What’s your point exactly. Are you suggesting there were not better passing options or you also fail to see the pressing traps set up by Mexico. Make your point without being disrespectful
@theyawofosu Rowen Williams is an excellent shot stopper. His passing is sub par. Pass selection is terrible. Mexico set pressing traps and SA fell into it. Sometimes you just have to go long
Just analyzed Mexico first goal. Rowen Williams had the option of passing 3 players on the left side and one player on the right side but chose to pass the only player being marked. Mexico set pressing traps. They did the same against Ghana.
