The process can take years, is exhausting and dehumanizing.

It’s designed to make people give up and/or die before there’s a payout.

This is why disabled people say they don’t owe you an explanation.

@lottieblix @bibicosplays Sorry you experienced this too. It feels like such a common thing for all of us. I know my experience is similar. This even happens to kids(did for me). I'm now really paying for pushing myself way too far every time and pretending I wasn't disabled.

@Imani_Barbarin The Ugly Laws truly need to be taught and talked about in schools, as well as other disabled history. A lot of my friends weren't aware that the ADA only came about in 1991 and had thought this always existed. Disabled history is American history. We've influenced a lot.

@RealMNchiefsfan They are starting to include Travis Kelce in this now. I saw someone reporting their sources claim he's going to this offseason... it feels like they all keep trying to be "first" even if wrong. This started with Brady and that false report.
