There will be an anti-trans rally in Seattle tomorrow ahead of the Storm game against the Fever in support of Sophie Cunningham’s latest public transphobic statements. I thought it was online fans only. That’s what she’s inciting.

Jonquel Jones gave an emotional answer discussing the viral StudBudz moment: "Obviously, it was a night out. Traditionally, those are moments that you can let your guard down a little bit and I was talking to somebody that meant a lot to me in terms of as a friend and someone that I built a relationship with over the years. What I said didn't really come out in the way I meant it. What I was just saying is that you can have a team that has a lot of chemistry, that is great on paper, that has had a great season, and it's still not enough to get it done, and that's what I was trying to explain to her with that whole clip. And that's why I brought up the 2019 Connecticut team is because we had a lot of great chemistry and it felt like it was that one piece to cement us, to keep us together, and bring us back together. Obviously, we put our hearts out there on the court in 2024, and I wouldn't want to finish any other way. I know what it means to our city. I know what it meant to me, and every single day that I step on the court, I put my heart into that. So, obviously, I feel like what I said was taken the wrong way, and I'll take accountability for that as well, and understand that I do have a responsibility, when I speak, to make sure I'm representing not just myself but our organization in the right way. But it was definitely a gut punch for me. Couldn't really enjoy the weekend, and I'm getting emotional... New York means a lot to me. The organization means a lot to me. Our locker room, our chemistry, what we built, and I just never wanted to misrepresent that. I never wanted people to ever feel like I was doing anything other than trying to put my best foot forward for our team, so I apologize." (Q: @AnnieCostabile)
