A little @NativeScript news from us 👀

Cortex Labs is taking a few projects under its wing, originally started by @rafaelaugustoms.

Rafael will keep building them, now with more resources to move things forward faster.

Huge thanks to Rafael for trusting us with this.

More soon! 🚀

@Armandotrue There's some really cool things happening with NativeScript if you decide to give it another chance ;)

@rafaelaugustoms @NativeScript @VueNativeScript This looks really smooth!

[Rafael { Augusto } @rafaelaugustoms]

I've been spending a lot of my free time playing around with Jolt and vue-router-ns, and I finally have something I'm really excited to share.
Everything you see here was built with @NativeScript /@VueNativeScript , Jolt for animations, and vue-router-ns for navigation.

I wanted to push both libraries a bit further and see how smooth and performant I could make a real app.
And here's something that genuinely surprised me...
I had already built this same app in React Native using Reanimated. Same computer, same simulator, and so far the @NativeScript version has actually performed better.

Now, before getting too excited, there's still A LOT to test, especially on real devices. I'm not claiming anything just yet. I want to properly measure things and understand how both versions behave.
Neither Jolt nor vue-router-ns has even reached v1 yet. There's still so much to build, fix, and improve, and I've been putting pretty much all my free time into them.

But man, seeing everything come together like this feels incredible.

I'm really proud of how far they've come, even if there's still a long way to go.
I'll keep sharing what I find as I run more tests. The good stuff, the bad stuff, all of it.

Just really happy right now. 😅❤️

✅ All checks out.

It's exciting to see young and old learn guitar for the first time. I hope by hearing the chord along with finger positions (+ a dash of fun visuals) helps 🎸

Now available for iPhone, iPad, and Duo,
as well as Android (including foldables).

Been experimenting with turning Nuxt app into actual native mobile app using @NativeScript

The idea is to take an existing Nuxt app and run it natively on iOS/Android, without rewriting everything. Just by adding some directives and composables. Thanks to the work of @triniwiz and his masonkit

Especially considering how this could work with Vue Vapor and its smaller runtime

Still early, but here's the first preview 👀

@marktechson Tip of the iceberg ;)

@ClassicOldSong Are you making a hackable media player?

[Dylan Llewellyn @YoFishyFish]

@josocjoq @NativeScript @vercel @rauchg There were a few failing cases remaining on my solidjs POC. I'm sure few more tokens could get it across the line. I put this on the backburner for now to help out with the web spec layout for nativescript. I think there could be something else brewing from the {N} team though 😅

[Dylan Llewellyn @YoFishyFish]

@nativescript feels made for @vercel's scriptc.

A quick POC reuses {N}'s core to build native a Android app with a fraction of V8's footprint, with no compromise on speed or platform access

That's a huge unlock and iOS could be next. Excited to see where this goes.

@wcandillon Are the performance examples from this video open source?

[Osei @triniwiz]

And the exact same code running as a native Windows app.

Starter template if you want to poke at it: https://t.co/TKpYQq1g1d 🚧

[Osei @triniwiz]

Wanted to test how web-compatible MasonKit (a little layout lib I've been building for @NativeScript) really is, so I threw shadcn/ui at it.

Same React components → real native views. No WebView.

A steady crouch-walk with the AK runs at 73.100006 u/s. The AK's accurate-speed threshold is exactly 73.1. That rounding leftover keeps a tiny moving-inaccuracy term on: about 0.0027. Please confirm.

@byteab What if you could write react with standard HTML, CSS and end up with something that's faster than regular mobile apps? 🤔
