The remarks made today by BJP State President Nainar Nagendran, completely ignorant of the dignity of women and the greatness of motherhood, are utterly disgraceful!

As the State President of a political party, he is expected to uphold basic dignity and decency. Yet, his remarks were so inappropriate that they would make mothers and women across Tamil Nadu feel deeply offended. His words deserve strong condemnation.

His remarks clearly reveal a deeply objectionable attitude towards women. The national leadership of the BJP must explain whether this is how their party views women.

Mr. @NainarBJP, apologise to the people of Tamil Nadu for your disgraceful and derogatory remarks.
