A year ago, Florida’s infamous “Don’t Say Gay” bill went into law.
We spoke to one Florida teacher about how the law has had a devastating impact on LGBTQ+ students, educators, families and allies, and what the future of equality in the state looks like.

Logging onto animal crossing for the first time in 2 years. Looking forward to picking endless weeds and hearing all my neighbors gripe about how I haven’t been there or how I’m a terrible neighbor.
BREAKING: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is hit with more bad news as Hayley Williams, the lead singer of the rock band Paramore, stops her live set during a concert to respond to DeSantis supporters who are “uncomfortable” that she’s speaking out against them, telling them, “I’ll be happy to tell you — I’m very fucking comfortable talking politics. If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you’re fucking dead to me. So is that comfortable enough for anyone?”
The best part is that, even though she describes herself as “straight,” she is still using her platform to be an ally of the LGBTQ+ community that is under constant threat from fascist Ron DeSantis.
We need A LOT more of this from EVERY artist who stands against DeSantis’ fascist agenda.
Please RT and ❤️ to thank Hailey Williams for calling Ron DeSantis and his followers out — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new Twitter competitor that is exploding in popularity because Elon Musk banned Tribel’s Twitter account — but he forgot to ban this link to download the new Tribel app: https://t.co/HnJzSKj4Hp
Republicans say that donald trump‘s indictment is a “sad day in America”.
And frankly that’s fucking bullshit.
You wanna know what IS a sad day in America…
It’s a sad day in America when Republican lawmakers compare going to school to going to war.
It’s a sad day in America when the MURDER of 9 year olds isn’t enough to inspire action or to motivate change.
It’s a sad day in America when instead of doing SOMETHING, ANYTHING about the goddamn guns, the response is to blame the doors, the lack of MORE guns, the pot, the porn, and the transgender community as a whole.
It’s a sad day in America when parents like me have to memorize the clothing our kids are wearing as they head off to school for fear that we will need to remember them in order to IDENTIFY their bodies.
It’s a sad day in America when we are told that ‘nothing can be done’ by the same party banning books, African American history & bodily autonomy.
It’s a sad day in America when a lifelong criminal conman FINALLY faces consequences for his actions, and an ENTIRE political party beholden to him loses their collective f’ng minds while also being willing to sacrifice our KIDS to the gun lobby at the same fucking time.
Now that, that is a sad day in America.
When he bragged about sexual assault, they moved the line.
Invited Russia to send Hillary’s emails, they moved the line again. When he mocked a disabled reporter, called women dogs, disparaged a POW, attacked a Gold Star family & insulted a military widow, they moved the line again. When he extorted Ukraine, lied about a pandemic, asked Georgia to “find” 11,780 votes, spread the Big Lie, incited an insurrection & sent a rabid mob to hang his VP, they moved the line again.
When he stole nuclear secrets which he then lied about and obstructed the investigation into, they moved the line again.
So, if and when he becomes the first former “president” to be charged with a crime, they will move the line yet again.
There is nothing donald trump could ever do, that would cross the line for Republicans. Nothing.
Because there is no line.
Not really.
