@mog_dayo This is a holistic problem to be dealt with, without trading blames or giving excuses sir. The lack of state ID means we have to go by available statistics and d state govt is to be blamed. Also, i doubt efficacy of night classes for economically disadvantaged kids, tired kids….
@woye1 My fear is, farmers in Nigeria will experience the same treatment sooner or later. Consumers will not even miss us. Aside national pride, the economies of scale will favor high tech, cheaper loans and support. There definitely must be a rethink of how we do things in this era….
@woye1@NafdacAgency@DGatNAFDAC Very good call sir. In all your tweets, my mind keeps going to NDLEA as well as an agency that needs a state counterpart. State equivalents of NAFDAC needs to help with local enforcement while federal nafdac deploys block chain tech which will effectively help manage supply chain
@woye1@bankofagricng Let us not forget lg chairmen are selected often time by the governors, hence most are puppets. By the way sir, can state police prosecute cases of corruption against lg chairmen and their elements?
@ansem_edet A governor removed the Cng buses donated by d FG to interstate travel just cos it had PBAT face on them, pure sabotage!. In collaboration with the state transport union,1k/month Cng kits on a weekly repayment plan will reduce the transport cost. Moniepoint n creditcorp’s started
@ansem_edet It is now evidently a political game to them. The pattern is to create a wedge between northern and southern voters, to get block norther votes while leaving the other southern aspirants to cut down on southern votes for APC. I just can’t stand them returning us to uncertainty.
@Mario9jaa That’s another OBJ to Yaradua handshake. It will deplete our reserves, all in the name of social welfare. Look at collections from distribution companies and see those with the least, these people cherish feudalism, otherwise why hate industrialization within capitalist framework
@Realoilsheikh Like I said, it is harder to run a sociocommunist initiative in a capitalist economy. How many Nigerians own a car to start with? Industries are powered by diesels while ordinary citizens use petrol to power gen. The revenue problem is only been dealt with, deepen Cng only!!!
@Realoilsheikh@atiku This is my stance all along but there is a big caveat. When you subsidize fuel for citizens up to a cap, say weekly, what are you trying to achieve? The economics of things show this venture’ll not bring down prices of commodities. This is a socialist idea in a capitalist economy
@BjydeEclat@DrJoeAbah Commercial drivers know dangote trucks are running Cng without wahala for so long. Unless Subnationals provide assurance and credit facility to provide a structured and smooth transition. Have u forgotten that those drivers live hand to mouth on a daily basis?
@StephenIkechuk4@DrJoeAbah Nothing is stopping them from converting their fuel stations to Cng stations or EV. Looking at how deserted the filling stations are right now, it is only wiser they adopt but I have seen what partisanship can do to development. I can never envy politicians and their ambitions
China now owns the world's largest and most tunnel boring machines (TBMs). 70% of the world's total are made in China. But this dominance is hard-earned.
In 1997, to build the Qinling Tunnel, China paid Germany RMB 700 million for just 2 SECONDHAND TBMs. 700 million is an entire region’s tax revenue back then.
But the 700 million didn't include support. China also had to hire German engineers for €800/day (≈RMB 6,800), while the average Chinese worker earned less than RMB 4,000 a year.
Back then, the global market was locked by the US, Japan, and Germany. China was being robbed, simply because it couldn't produce its own.
In 2002, China began the painful journey of self-development of TBM, which has over 30,000 precision parts.
After 6 years, in 2008, China's first homegrown TBM was born. In a 2012 head-to-head test, it matched the best in the world. Today, Chinese TBMs lead the world. Dignity is earned.
This is just an example in TBM. In humanoid robots, in electric cars, in solar farms, in drones...China has plenty of examples that make the country strong again.
@DrJoeAbah Ab initio, the govt ought to have prioritized the use of NiN card to offer capped subsidized fuel per citizen per week. Coupled with ensuring a capped daily transport cost for commuters. Unfortunately, the states were also complacent in the mess.
@egi_nupe What you have done is good. What you will learn will shock you too. A tribe goes to the market to hire a fellow tribe man for a daily pay, instructs them to cause havoc and when trouble comes, throw them under the bus and shop for another the next market day. We must do better
@woye1 In an FYE class, the lecturer asked for a Nigerian in class and directed the big question at me, what killed the dictator, and I boldly told the apple story. A Zimbabwean stood and gave the proper account and shame nearly swallowed me. Decades after,I now know our media failed us
