@fiveinchhammer@minifurutrader@GuidoVerweyen@AdamMancini4 Dude, always ok to skip. Your edge is *your* edge, it’s an individual thing, if it doesn’t look like a sure-fire A(+), just wait for the next one. WFIW, despite the bullish PA I didn’t (and still don’t) view it as A(+). Neither did Adam I reckon.
@AdamMancini4@patrman @Kidcable239801 @tonylaporta_com I was lost swinging stocks b4 subscribing. Your strategy made intuitive sense & I verified its edge backtesting — as strong as I could hope to find! Committed 100% to make it work for me. 2y later, becoming consistent. Very grateful! I'm learning so much! 🙏
@AdamMancini4@patrman @Kidcable239801 @tonylaporta_com Yes, many people seek an edge in all the wrong places. Or, instead of fully sharpening just a few, they dilute them by mixing up incompatible edges. Almost impossible to know exactly what one is looking for, if one is looking for a dozen different things
@AdamMancini4@adamlbird1 I didn't like how that FBD played out: little evidence of acceptance before shooting 5pts straight to intraday res. Not one for me. Thanks Adam for all the notes! HAGW!
@AdamMancini4@ESFuturesT41922@franek_to Sticking to plan = 🗝️
I struggled with this for a long time. Kept coming up with ideas that we ok, but with closer analysis not great. And I can’t do close analysis on the fly.
@ashwagamma@WestNyc1@ESFuturesT41922@AdamMancini4 Appreciate this nugget, many thanks!
Helps to have this as an explicit guideline — I’ve never articulated it to myself, just vaguely recognised the regularity.
@AdamMancini4 @ACoupleplaybook @Junkacc82747903 The beauty of perfect trading: know your process, commit to it so thoroughly that becomes the sole focus of your thinking and actions, and let everything else (incl. profits) follow as a mathematical consequence of your process’s edge.
@Anthony_IV@AdamMancini4 Try focusing much less on ‘results’ and much more on PROCESS: managing as per rules. Give yourself credit only for the latter. If there’s anything to be afraid of, it’s mismanaging the trade. The results are secondary, always. With solid process results follow automatically
@AdamMancini4@EStrader33@Ahtiras1 Soooo much respect and gratitude for investing so much time/effort in NL! It’s the BEST thing out there for learning to trade. You’re changing lives, man 🙏🙏
@EpicCharting @AdamMancini4@ZenTrader882@Poonz83 Good, deep question. For me, it’s part of my psychology: I’m less reliable at identifying A+ setups and executing well after one or two trades, green or otherwise! Computer could take all A+ setups the same, I can’t. So I reduce size/risk/trades and aim to ALWAYS end day green.
@ABalinskiy@Anthony_IV What Andriy said, and I’d also recommend trying to be very mindful of how your emotions influence your read of price action and setups. The keys are all in Adam’s priceless NL; the rest is a psychology, which is just as important. Being v. patient and gentle with myself helps.
@AdamMancini4 Yes! Heavy penalties for impulse trades, where contingent mental states affect decisions (cause the answer isn’t obvious). Systematically avoiding low quality ideas matters much less in other endeavours; trading is exceptionally unforgiving, which takes time to internalise.
