It was a good experience to work with CGTN, a Chinese international media outlet, to promote Ethiopian Manuscript Heritage (Birana).
I’m happy to announce that my colleagues and I have published a new bilingual book, including its English translation, titled “የቅዱስ ላሊበላ ዓለም ዓቀፍ የማይዳሰሱ ባህላዊ ቅርሶች ምንነት፣ ይዘትና ነባራዊ ሁኔታ”
The gold hair ornament (woleba) belonging to Empress Tiruwork Wube, wife of Emperor Tewodros II, which was looted and taken out of Ethiopia, has been honourably returned.
This invaluable imperial treasure will now be displayed permanently at the National Museum of Ethiopia in AA.
I have just completed a transformative 40-day training course on the Ethiopian Manuscript Tradition and beyond. I gained deep knowledge, sharpened my skills and received clear direction for the journey ahead.
I am immensely grateful! #University of Naples "L'Orientale"#EHA
On-the-job training strengthens professional capacity in heritage documentation, conservation & archaeology. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Andrea Serodio Dominguez & Dr. Eduardo Mendez-Quintas for delivering training on archaeology & paleontology collections management and research.
Twelve historic Ethiopian artefacts have returned. A dedicated display showcasing these iconic heritage would ensure their preservation and emphasise their cultural and historical importance.
