@GreatBrianLast Aren’t you a music biz guy?
You thought Morris Day died!?! Did you confuse him with Prince? The original drummer of “The Time” Jellybean Johnson died last year but all the other members live.
Young MC is not an attorney. Maybe he’s a manager.
@TheJimCornette
@bryancurtis@DavidShoemaker The fact y’all left off 94 year old Jeffersons and 227 star Marla Gibbs off but didn’t know Morgan Freeman had a rumor of an affair with his step-granddaughter (who was later murdered) makes me give you the gas face. https://t.co/tEIeHTehwv
The idea of grandfathering the already traded picks (Memphis-Utah) was discussed in here. In part, the league’s reasoning was that it didn’t want to create an imbalance in value on traded and non-traded picks.
@Isaac__NBA The logo was in seven season before GNG. And has been the logo a decade after the GNG era.
Because the logo connects to the club, and not an era.
@Isaac__NBA I’m the one who forced the Grizz to release the logo before they wanted to in 2004. I discovered it on the USPTO website and shared it online. When I first saw it, I didn’t like it because it was black & white.
But when I saw the color version, I was entranced. Very pleased.
@Isaac__NBA Simple but speaks volumes.
It’s kind of inspired by the logo for the Chicago Bulls but different.
It’s not busy like the Vancouver logo but Grizz were smart enough to keep the secondary bear claw.
If you just show the head, you know exactly what it is.
@DanWolken How in the world was LBJ not getting his son golf lessons as a child?
He of all people should know the benefit of being at home on the golf course when you are wealthy.
@Isaac__NBA Agreed.
That’s why the ignorance of LeBron James’s comment meant something.
Hilarious that NBA ballers bumpin Memphis rap but then talking shit about how bad Memphis is. It’s bewildering.
But other than uglass Chandler Parsons, people who played in the M had a pleasant time
@Isaac__NBA Depends on the measure. NOLA is a smaller metro. Doesn’t have the corporate community.
But you can party more in NOLA and it’s a much bigger tourist destination.
Milwaukee should be less desirable than Memphis. Salt Lake City too. As mentioned, OKC.
@Isaac__NBA I never said people aren’t tripping over Mem too.
Memphis was the same all these years. Too Black. Too poor. Too small.
If the org wasn’t trying to be run like the Duke program and knew how to work with guys who might be a little out there 1 way or another, they’d be better.
@Isaac__NBA I’m not disagreeing with you.
I think there is not enough dialogue about how the front office prefers a certain type of player and they do not want players who have any sort of independence or swag. They want guys they can easily control.
