Let’s be very clear. Republicans DO NOT want a solution to the border crisis.

A solution would rob them of their key election weapon. The Republican Party is the extortion party. They have embarked upon demanding draconian immigration legislation , in order to make it impossible for progressive and even moderate democrats to accept.

They do this, in the full knowledge it will paralyze government not only on border issues, but on foreign aid to Ukraine who are being punished for exposing Trump for blackmailing them to dish up the dirt on fictitious bribery claims.

The sole purpose of the Republicans, is to prepare the ground for a dangerous dictatorship that they hope will put an end to freedoms they don’t sanction.

Joe Biden is right to say, this is a battle for the soul of a nation. There will be no second chance if we get this wrong.
