@Jim45255760@uzanethegoat Genin Lee is faster than maki’s top speed lmao mfs see animation and just get to yapping 😭😭
We’re talking about characters that are “country - planetary” level, versus characters that are “town - city” level
Some advice, research is amazing.
@uzanethegoat@0rangeJvice You do know Naruto characters scale to speeds faster than light, while JJK characters scale to the speed of sound, gapping them “sorcerers” rather easily
@spider_voltax@LeSymbiote@RemiDarkmaul We’re not talking about knowledge though, that’s where you’re focused. We’re talking fanhood.
The greatest fan will always be subjective, but there are some people, objectively, “more of a fan” than others.
Reading comics is just ONE OF MANY ways to express your fanhood. Simple
@Nanaue27@roronoa_kenzo@LeSymbiote@RemiDarkmaul Excuse me if I’m wrong, but isn’t being a fan of ANYTHING saying “you just like the character in this or that adaption” lmao
Hoarding the fandom of any concept because you’ve read the source material…that doesn’t seem so “grumpy old dude” to you?
@zoinks420xx@treytheactivist@crit_lerma Weird take seeing that he’s talking about a character that’s an 18-19 man having a relationship to an older man, which he compares to the, ever so common, sibling rivalry type…
@B612_27@LeSymbiote There are many versions of Spider-Man. You can, in fact, truly grasp Tom Holland’s Spider-Man by reading 0% of any comic ever created.
I’ve always enjoyed reading in general, especially comics, but that’s because of the way MY brain works. Not everyone can find enjoyment there.
@NoBowDy19 @LeSymbiote If you think the first is incorrect, you’ve never seen a toddler or a person with mental and/or physical disabilities. But I respect your opinion.
@yben213_dz@LeSymbiote Exactly, like yeah there’s in argument there for characters who aren’t as big and most of their “exposure” is from the comics, but Spider-Man…
My kids have toys, clothes, shoes, plushies, accessories. Both have requested themed parties.
They can’t read yet. Still huge fans. 😭
@spider_voltax@LeSymbiote@RemiDarkmaul The biggest fan will have the greatest emotional attachment to whatever the topic is.
Comic book “knowledge” is only an indicator that someone could be fan.
A super marvel fan may have more knowledge on Spider-Man than you, doesn’t mean they’re as emotionally invested.
@Regitshoyo@LeSymbiote Its literally hundreds of thousands of people (if not millions) that can’t read or can’t enjoy reading comics for a plethora of reasons (lack of interest, finances, physical/mental disabilities, etc.)
Not to mention, the content is put out through many other mediums.
@Mirai_Itami@LeSymbiote Resources play a huge factor in your point. Imagine thinking you’re a “bigger” fan because you had the option to buy that game/comic and the next guy didn’t. Entitlement.
@roronoa_kenzo@LeSymbiote@RemiDarkmaul Obviously that’s more of an extreme example, they don’t have the skills to enjoy a comic, which I’m sure they would.
But, believe it or not, some people don’t like comic styled books. Some people don’t like books, doesn’t mean they’re lazy.
@roronoa_kenzo@LeSymbiote@RemiDarkmaul This so biased and such a closed minded way of thinking. This was allegedly the guy’s point, you feel entitled because you read the comics.
I have 2 boys, both under 5, huge fans of Spider-Man, neither can read. They express through other mediums - games, clothes, toys, etc.
@LeSymbiote@YoniToshi Weird for you to key on the “knowledge” part of his point rather than him clearing saying one is more “passionate” than the other - which was the opposite of the point YOU brought up
If that’s what your post was referring to, why not say that then? Ohh, the check mark. Duh 😭😅
@LeSymbiote First point, sure. Second point is generally false.
Lmao there’s no way you think, generally speaking (as you were), fans that spend more time and money on content aren’t bigger fans of said content, rather than those who don’t. Very rare case. Illogical argument.
