Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer didn't depict the use of Atomic Bombs on Japan.
But the Japanese Anime masterpiece "Barefoot Gen" delivers an incredibly haunting portrayal of the horrors endured during a nuclear detonation.
Super Important to Support Creators!
If you can afford it, please subscribe to as many creators on this platform as you find interesting.
People from every corner of the world post incredible content on ๐, but often live in tough circumstances, where even a few hundred dollars a month changes their life.
While we had previously said that ๐ would keep nothing for the 12 months, then 10%, we are amending that policy to ๐ keeps nothing forever, until payout exceeds $100k, then 10%. First 12 months is still free for all.
Apple does take 30%, but I will speak with @tim_cook and see if that can be adjusted to be just 30% of what ๐ keeps in order to maximize what creators receive.
More ๐ algorithm observations:
* Don't miss a day! My impressions dropped from 44.5M (in May) to 13.5M (in July) because I took a week off social media. I knew it would happen but by the time I grew enough for me and every year I take a week off from social media to re-charge. But if you're growing your account, post every day, better few times a day (your content that contributes to the conversation)
* Six months ago I had around 1k followers (from my old journalism / photography times), so I was a small account. It grew because my work was on the news a lot, and then I started posting educational content. I think, that's the things that interest people. It's less about how to make a million dollars with a prompt on ChatGPT ๐ but more "how to create a beautiful book with your kid step by step". Share your process, something you love
* Verified accounts grow faster, the platform is transparent about it. It did pay of for me. It's the only platform I know of that pays its creators. I was on Instagram for years (I had 57k followers on my old account there), the platform never supported me in any way. Here it's Subscriptions and ad revenue. It takes time to create content, and most creators I know have day jobs / family, so it means a lot.
* Start with interracting with accounts of the same size. A lot of bigger accounts may not see all comments. I do my best to respond but some posts get so many comments (some of those hidden) that I can miss something. When I was a smaller account it was easier to respond to everyone.
Don't give up!
